Wax-based pencils work well on wood as the soft-core quality blends easily. I wanted a graduated value blended look on this piece, so I laid out my pencils according to hue and then chose three or four values from light to dark in each hue I wanted to use. If you bring your collection of colored pencils to class, I will be glad to help with your choices to create your own look.

The Hoot Office will be open for this class for anyone who wants to come in to do color pencil with Tina Sue.
