Chapter, Inc. (HOOT) is offering one
scholarship for up to two hundred twenty-five dollars
($225.00).
Monies are to be used to cover convention registration, class(es) and
project fees. The winner of this scholarship
must
have their own painting supplies, transportation and living

One winner will be selected by a supervised drawing conducted at the HOOT Office. The winner will be contacted by phone to see if he/she is available to attend the convention. At that time a color class catalog will be mailed to the winner. The winner will then call the HOOT office to arrange for the classes based on availability.
The scholarship is not open to current HOOT members or art teachers outside of Ohio.
A benefit of up to $25.00 will be given to a teacher of art and 1 of their students to attend the Convention Exhibit-Sales Floor, project viewing, art show and free demo. Monies can be used to cover the parking fee as well.
The HOOT Convention will be celebrating its 31st year August 8-13, 2011 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Over 80 trained artists from the United States, Canada, and Argentina will be instructing more than 180 classes in acrylics, oils, watercolors, oil pastels and colored pencils. This is considered one of the finest decorative artist conventions in the country and normally attracts over 1,000 artists from around the world. An extensive Exhibit Sales Floor is also available featuring over 100 Vendors and Exhibitors selling an extensive variety of art supplies.
