WELCOME!!As a Decorative Artist or someone who would like more information regarding decorative painting in the Columbus area, you have chosen a great place to start. Here you will find information about our Chapter, our meetings, our Convention, our Philanthropy projects, and special events.
We invite you to attend one of our meetings which take place on the third Saturday of alternating months, beginning in January. The meetings are held at the Northeast Conference Center on Executive Parkway, Westerville, Ohio. After the hospitality hour from 8:30 to 9:30 am., we hold the business meeting. Lunch is available at the Conference Center or you may brown bag it. After lunch, members and guests who have attended the business meeting, may stay and paint the project of the day.
We also invite you to become one of us by joining HOOT. The Heart of Ohio Tole Chapter, Inc. of the Society of Decorative Painters is a unique chapter. This is, in part, due to our size and, because of our size, all of the opportunities that are available to members to paint and create. As a member, you will receive our bi-monthly newsletter. As a member you will have the opportunity to join in activities such as the neighborhood revitalization project, "Plant Pride on Parsons" that we participated in the past year or in the auction of "Painted Bras", the proceeds of which went to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. We have held a week-long convention at the Columbus Convention Center for the past 30 years, where there is an exhibit hall, free demonstrations, an art show, and over 100 painting classes in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and colored pencils.
