Heart of Ohio Tole Chapter, Inc.

The Heart of Ohio Tole Chapter, Inc. (HOOT) is offering two scholarships for up to two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) each.  Monies are to be used to cover convention registration, class(es) registration and project fees.  Winners of this scholarship must have their own painting supplies, transportation and living accommodations for the convention.

The “HOOT” Convention will be celebrating it’s 28^th year August 11-16, 2008 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.  Over 100 trained artists from the United States, Canada, Argentina and Japan will be teaching more than 200 classes in acrylics, oils, watercolors, oil pastels and colored pencils.  This is considered one of the finest decorative artist conventions in the country and normally attracts over 1,000 artists from around the world.  An extensive Exhibit-Sales Hall is also available featuring over 126 Vendors selling an extensive variety of art supplies.  Visiting the “HOOT” Chapter website, www.heartofohiotole.org will give information on “HOOT” and the convention.

Those interested in the scholarship must complete the application found on the “HOOT” website and mail it to the “HOOT” office in Reynoldsburg. click here for application

Two winners will be selected by a supervised drawing conducted at the HOOT Office.  Winners will be contacted by phone to see if they are available to attend the convention.  At that time a convention catalog will be mailed to the winners.  The winners will then call the HOOT OFFICE, to arrange for the classes based on availability.

The scholarship is not open to current ‘HOOT’ members or art teachers outside of Ohio.
